Volunteers needed for PMHS STEM Summit on November 30 & December 1

Volunteers are needed to help with the STEM Summit, scheduled for November 30 and December 1 at Penn Manor High School.

All Penn Manor freshmen will participate in the day-long exploration of careers in science, technology, engineering and math, sponsored by Junior Achievement of South Central Pennsylvania.

Volunteers will lead STEM activities at one of the stations students will visit throughout the day. A STEM background is not required, and Junior Achievement will provide online training as well as on-site support to volunteers during the event.

A light breakfast and lunch will be available for volunteers.

The goal of the STEM Summit is to inspire students to consider an academic STEM focus in their high school courses and provide input to school counselors to assist students in career planning.

If Junior Achievement is not able to get enough volunteers, the STEM Summit may have to be canceled.
