Timetable announced for Penn Manor superintendent search

The Penn Manor Board of School Directors has announced a timetable for the search process for Penn Manor’s next superintendent.

Applications are being accepted until February 18 through Lancaster-Lebanon Intermediate Unit 13.

  • On February 21, school board members, working with IU 13, will review candidates’ credentials.
  • On March 8 and 10, Initial interviews will take place. A second round of interviews with finalists will be held on March 22 and, if necessary, March 24.
  • On April 4, the school board is expected to announce the candidate it has selected for the superintendent’s job. The board will then need to formally approve a contract with the new superintendent.

Mike Leichliter, Penn Manor’s current superintendent, has accepted a position with a school district in Vermont and plans to leave Penn Manor in the summer.
